When widow Emily (Diane Keaton) reaches another birthday it hits home that her life lacks focus and that it’s time to make some changes. However, she does not expect to find inspiration from a ramshackle hut, and its gruff, unkempt inhabitant (Brendan Gleeson), which she spies tucked away on the edge of the Heath.

Charming, funny and inspired by true events Hampstead proves love can be found in the strangest of places and that second chances are available to those who seek them out.
