In response to the developing coronavirus situation in the UK, Exeter Phoenix is currently closed to the public. This is a temporary measure and we are taking this on a month-by-month basis. No events will be taking place during March, and the vast majority of events will be rescheduled for later in the year. We are following government advice and acting in the best interests of our visitors and staff.

Michael Winterbottom (24 Hour Party People, The Trip) returns with typically thrilling energy in this scathing and hilarious poke at corporate greed, fast fashion and the 1%. 

Sir Richard McCreadie (Steve Coogan) is the king of the high street and a self-made billionaire. Following a few wobbles with fraud investigations his image is stained. To prove he’s still on top, he decides to throw the ultimate celeb-filled 60th birthday bash. Cue a Mediterranean island, a fake amphitheatre, togas and a real lion. 

But a biographer covers the party preparations and as the guests start arriving – including a daughter who’s shooting a Made in Chelsea-style reality show –‘greedy McCreadie’s’ empire starts to come apart at the seams.
