Utterly spontaneous and guided improvisations with wild and wonderful experimental music quintet Get Rich Quick and a host of improvising friends: contemporary music collides with free jazz.
Experimental music group Get Rich Quick fuse jazz and contemporary influences to create exciting and unpredictable improvised music ranging from atonal and minimal to charging free jazz. Joined here by more classical, jazz and contemporary improvisers to form a combined ‘orchestra’ of 10 musicians, the evening will proceed with a series of free and guided improvisations. The latter will be directed by non-conventional ‘scores’ submitted by composers from the contemporary and experimental music world. These include Music Machine 1 by Simon Belshaw, Damage Limitation by Emma Welton, Let’s Throw Some Shapes by Anna Matthews, Suspensions by Jane Carrington-Porter and scores by members of Get Rich Quick.
