Freefall Youth Group

Freefall is an arts group for young people between the ages of 13-16, running on Thursday evenings from 6-8pm during term time at Exeter Phoenix.

The group is free to attend and is run by a qualified arts practitioner, giving participants a chance to socialise, share ideas and develop creative projects together, working across a range of artforms and activities. It aims to give young people a deeper understanding and enjoyment of art, creativity and culture while helping to improve confidence and skills and increasing self-awareness and reflection.

Freefall sessions regularly explore ideas and events that connect with the wider programme of exhibitions, festivals and performances at Exeter Phoenix, working with a variety of artists and practitioners and visiting other cultural events in the city.

Freefall is currently accepting new members. If you are interested in joining, please fill in the form below to register your interest.

Freefall+ is a new group primarily aimed 16-25 year old school leavers with special educational needs and their carers. This new Freefall offer is delivered in partnership with local disability charity, The Pelican Project.

We want to actively encourage participation in the arts with young people from all walks of life and all abilities. Freefall+ provides a place to meet, share and explore the arts together.

The group is led by George Barron and meets regularly on Tuesday mornings. Activities are designed to be inclusive and include the chance to experiment with a range of materials and processes. There is also the opportunity to work on artist led projects, contribute to exhibitions and events and access the networking, advice and opportunities provided through our Creative Hub.

Freefall+ is funded through generous donations from the public and grants from The Jack Riley Trust, The Norman Family Trust,  The Gibbons Family Trust, the Dr &Mrs Darlington Charitable Trust and the Hays Travel Foundation.

To find out more about how to get involved with the group either as a participant or volunteer Please contact The Pelican Project.
