This year, Exeter Phoenix are excited to be working with Exeter Seed Bank (ESB). We will be working with communities of growers and artists to offer a programme of activity that follows the annual cycle of growing, collecting and sharing seeds

Established in 2020, Exeter Seed Bank aims to share knowledge and skills about seed saving, an ancient craft that is being revived in the face of our diminishing seed diversity.

The exhibition introduces some of the individuals and community groups who have agreed to be Seed Guardians. They will grow one particular plant species and harvest its seeds for stocking the Exeter Seed Bank.

The aim is to produce seeds that include organic vegetables, flowers, meadow mixes, and herbs that grow well in our local soil and climate. Exeter Seed Bank volunteers will pack the seeds for free distribution within Exeter each Spring.
