What if poetry could translate policy and raise a generation of new leaders? 

Connecting Dots is an Arts Council England-funded project turning local policy into poetry.

Across four cities and boroughs – Croydon, Bristol, Exeter and Lambeth – we bring young people, local organisations and civic leaders into one room to explore policy, creativity and local opportunity. 

The Exeter Cultural Research Exchange is an evening of live spoken word, performance, facilitated dialogue and networking.

Led by poet, facilitator and House of Vox founder Jenniah “Senxe” Brown, whose background spans hip hop, grime, poetry and local government, the evening translates Exeter’s own strategies and priorities into language people can feel.

A commissioned local artist will perform an original piece responding to the city, and the room will have space to respond, share and be heard. 

Alongside the performance, attendees will have the chance to connect directly with local organisations, services and opportunity providers – because the point is not only to talk about change, but to leave with something real. 

Open to anyone interested in the arts, their city, and the decisions that shape both.
