Oscar winning Katheryn Bigelow returns for the first time since Zero Dark Thirty (2012) with her latest drama based on the infamous Algiers Motel police killings in which 3 unarmed African-American men were shot dead in the midst of the racially-charged riots of 1967.

Starring John Boyega, who rocketed to fame in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and with themes which mirror issues still relevant in today’s America Detroit is dark, gripping and historically accurate.
