A film that is so close to or hearts, and never fails to make us nostalgic for the magic of cinema Cinema Paradiso was top of the list when planning our summer celebration programme. A successful filmmaker recalls his childhood after he receives news that his dear friend, Alfredo the projectionist, has passed away. This love letter to cinema is a celebration of youth, friendship and our everlasting love of our favourite art form; cinema.

Dedicated to our dear friend Nick Keen, whose influence on film, cinema and people at Exeter Phoenix was remarkable. It will be cherished. Nick was our Alfredo in our very own Cinema Paradiso. With Nick’s expertise, skill and enthusiasm the show would always go on.

We will be screening the original theatrical version.

Supper club

Supplement your evening with a two course Italian meal inspired by the film. £15 for two courses. £20 for two courses and a glass of wine. Supper Club will have one sitting from 6:30pm. The film will begin at 7:30pm.
