Cat Rose is a folk, indie singer – songwriter based in Plymouth, and a rising star. Cat started out with Barbican Theatre Rebels programme and funded by Youth Music, the rest of her debut EP Wasteland was released this year with all her songs from the EP featured on BBC Introducing!

Cat Rose’s debut EP Wasteland is an atmospheric listen that takes you on a journey through chapters of a story of darkness, isolation, whimsy and magic. With ethereal tones, Cat’s voice has been compared to having “tones of Laura Marling” – Listen with Monger striking perceptions and haunting melodies, dare to get lost in this world! Tom Williams a BBC Intro host said “Cat is a Brilliantly talented songwriter – she has an Interesting insight, and is a very funny creative person, it comes across in her music.” as Cat explores themes such as mental health, neurodiversity and being working class.

Cat has also been featured on Sofar sounds, came runner up in the South West heat of the UK Unsigned singer-songwriter competition, she was in the final three for Plymouth Laureate of words 2020 and has managed to build an audience of almost 2,000 listeners on Spotify from all over the world, with her hit song ‘Seagulls’ racking up over 30,000 listens! Cat will be touring solo across the UK with her new debut EP Wasteland and local special guests to play! On the 4th November 2025 at Exeter Phoenix Studio 1, Cat will be performing her debut ep Wasteland with local special guest for the evening Saff Juno.
