Frequent collaborators since 2015, Megan Calver and Gabrielle Hoad usually work in outdoor settings, generating live actions, photography, video, sound and text in response to site and context. During their short experimental residency, they will reconsider their site-specific practice for a gallery environment.

Expanding on a shared preoccupation with language and communication, they will improvise activations of space, body and matter, and explore new ways of presenting their outcomes. The residency will provide them with an invaluable joint workspace to develop a new project. 

NB Public access to the gallery during the micro-residency will be intermittent and may only be viewable through the glass doors during your visit.

PLATFORM

This project appears as part of Exeter Phoenix’s Platform series, which offers artists based in the South West region opportunities to test out ideas, new work and recent developments in their practice.
