Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Things, The Lobster, The Favourite) and Emma Stone are reunited for a fourth time in this gripping, darkly funny and satirical environmental comedy-thriller. Two conspiracy-obsessed men kidnap the CEO of a major company when they become convinced that she’s an alien who wants to destroy Earth.

The Lobster (the first Englsih language feature by Lanthimos) was one of the first films screened in Studio 74 a decade ago as well as being one of the first to sell out to our growting audience who were clearly telling us they were hungry for bold, brave and bizarre cinematic experiences. We listened and have continued to offer a challenging and rewardng programme for Studio 74, Exeter’s Home of Independent Cinema.

On Sat 01 Nov, to celebrate Studio 74 turning 10, we presented a special screening of Yorgos Lanthimos’s new macabre movie reflecting on modern madness, technology and society’s ability to deny.
