Almost 50 years after being filmed Sydney Pollack’s concert film about Aretha Franklin’s legendary gospel album Amazing Grace finally makes it to the big screen, and is already being hailed as one of the finest music documentaries ever made.

Shot over two nights in January 1972, at the height of her fame, the film shows a then 30-year-old Franklin return to her gospel roots.

This extraordinary documentary lets you witness Aretha Franklin as you’ve never seen her before. Amazing Grace is an extraordinary look at a key moment in American musical and social history, and an invaluable record of one of America’s greatest artists doing what she did best.
