    Poetry is revolutionary. It has the power to change the world! This five week course develops your powerful poetic voice. You will learn to use poetry to express yourself and your opinions about the environment, mental health, politics, social issues or personal passions. We will look at the work of powerful protest poets and work together to harness our passions and make our voices heard! Whatever your style, whatever your experience level, this course is for you!

    All materials are provided. Just bring your imagination!

    Includes: poetry notebook and journal, all resources and the chance to perform your poetry!


    Tutor

    Annie Bennett BA Hons English Literature and Philosophy, PGCE, Undergraduate Diploma in Creative Writing (Oxford University). Teacher of English and Creative Writing ages 11-18 (8 years).

    Annie Bennett is a poet, secondary and post-16 teacher and leader of local writers group River Exe Writers. She has been shortlisted for Teignmouth Poetry Prize (2017) and regularly performs her poetry and prose at festivals and open mic nights (Green Gathering, Port Elliot, Catweazle Club). Annie has just had her first short story and two poems published as part of River Exe Writers Anthology: Rivers. She is passionate about working with young people to develop their creative writing talent for pleasure, as therapy or with an eye to publication.
