2D Animation: Superhero Switch

This two hour creative young peoples workshop focuses on the fun hand-drawn animation technique of metamorphosis, transforming one object or character into another.
Whos your favourite superhero? See them transform into their superhero selves in front of your own eyes! Recreate a quick costume change, from Peter Parker into Spiderman or Diana Prince into Wonder Woman! Or show us their best moves, spins and kapow! moments.
Great for young people who have never tried animation before or want to learn a new exciting technique. They will be able to create their own short animation sequence, which they will be able to take away as a film.
This session is for those aged 7-10 years old, parents are welcome to stay to help younger children and join in the fun. All materials will be provided.

Ashleys short animated horrors Scarycrow, The Screaming Skull and The Hairy Hands have been screened across the world, winning numerous international awards. Ashley uses a wide array of animation techniques including rotoscoping, After Effects and stop motion and encourages those he teaches to experiment and rejoice in the form. He has also provided animated sequences for BBC Manchester and Derren Browns Trick of the Mind for Channel 4.
Graham has had over 16 years experience working in the 2D childrens Television animation industry and has worked on a number of shows made by Honeycomb Animation and King Rollo Films including Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids, Binka, Poppy Cat, Funky Valley and Funky Town. Both Funky shows where animated in a digital cut-out style.
