Join Doohickie Productions and ten emerging artists for a long table discussion exploring what emerging artists want and need to access the performance industry. The long table format, created by artist Lois Weaver, gives everyone in the room the opportunity to join the discussion and be heard if and when they want to.

A table, 12 chairs and a microphone. Doohickie will invite ten emerging artists to start the discussion. Everyone in the room has the power to shift the direction of the conversation and put forward their ideas by simply taking a chair at the table. The aim is to create a non hierarchical space in which there is no single ‘expert’ or answer. We embrace moments of tension, silences, and mediation to make room for all voices at the table.

If we do not wish to participate you can choose to be a spectator, a witness for those speaking, by remaining seated in the auditorium.

We will also have a paper tablecloth that anyone can write on during the discussion and view afterwards.
