Join Crowdfunder UK for an interactive and inspiring workshop designed specifically for people working in the creative industries. Whether you’re an artist, filmmaker, designer, community arts leader, or part of a creative organisation, this session will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to harness crowdfunding as a powerful tool for raising funds, building communities, and bringing ideas to life.
Led by a Crowdfunder UK Community Manager, Zoe Rees-Oliver, the session will guide you through the key elements of planning and running a successful crowdfunding campaign — from telling your story to activating your network and reaching your funding goals.
Crowdfunder UK Community Manager

Zoe is Crowdfunder UK’s resident crowdfunding expert, bringing a wealth of experience in supporting community groups, charities, and creative organisations to raise vital funds and turn bold ideas into reality. She has helped countless groups navigate the crowdfunding journey — from initial concept through to successful campaign delivery — with a practical, people-focused approach rooted in community empowerment.
Before joining Crowdfunder, Zoe spent many years working across the creative industries as a performer, workshop facilitator, and Director of a Creative Community Interest Company (CIC). This background gives her a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by artists, cultural producers, and grassroots organisations.
Her combined expertise in both fundraising and creative practice means Zoe is uniquely placed to help others unlock the power of crowdfunding to support projects with purpose, build stronger audiences, and create lasting lasting impact.
Free fundraising workshops for arts, culture and heritage organisations and practitioners through the Exeter Artnership.
This programme of FREE fundraising workshops is designed to support our creative community to develop skills, share knowledge and generate ideas to support the local cultural scene to thrive. We will learn together, bringing in fundraising experts and experience from across the country, so that we can all build resilience and sustainability, and nurture a culture of generosity, collaboration and trust within Exeter’s vibrant cultural scene.
These sessions are open to creatives and organisations of all sizes and across all disciplines.
These sessions have been facilitated by the Exeter Artnership – a group formed by Exeter’s five Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisations: Exeter Phoenix, Exeter UNESCO City of Literature, Exeter Northcott Theatre, Libraries Unlimited, and the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery.
This programme is delivered as a partnership project with Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy, supported by Arts Council England.
