Brazzmatazz

Brazzmatazz, an 18-headed brassband beast that gnarls and bites, but knows how to raise tensions back up at the right time.

Musical influences come from New Orleans and the Balkans, fusing them with more modern influences from electronic genres.

A steampunk spectacle encompassing decor, costumes and a full show will convince audiences both on the street as on the bigger stages, proven by prizes won such as Ghent Festival Best Street Artist, and well-received performances at festivals and venues such as Polé Polé, Dranouter, Vooruit, Casino, Bozar, DeSingel…

Live At JGG Studio

Brazzmatazz returns with “Live At JGG Studio”; a selection of brassband bangers from a recent live session containing five brand new songs and two classics.

Join them on this half hour taster of their energetic, steampunk-drenched live shows, with styles ranging from drum ‘n bass over funk to a trip to the Balkans, and even a pirate song!

With new contributions from three of their saxophone players and a lone trumpeter, this truly was a group effort in writing as much as it was in recording.

Expertly recorded live in Johnny Green Giant Studio and mixed and mastered by our very own sound tech Jonas Nyaarr (GoTo11).

This album is be a free online release including live footage, filmed and edited live by Dante Vanquaethem (Genuine Sound).

It was released under Den Hoed Music Records on 11th of December 2021…

“We’re already donning our steampunk garments to check this mad troop of top musicians out live.“
Luminous Dash

“Another upbeat performance from this Belgian answer to the US’ Hypnotic Brass Ensemble!“
Tropicalidad

“Good for a half hour of frantic, festive thundering in which (…) few genres are shunned. To whoever
didn’t know (or refuses to hear it): diversity works.“
Ongehoord!

“The playfulness, humor and virtuosity they show on stage, can also be found on this record . This is
how a live album should sound. Mission accomplished.“
