Local noise veterans FreakbyWire are a heavy 3 piece punk band based in Exeter. They have been making music together for over 20 years and their sound has been described as the perfect blend of punk and grunge. This event marks the release of their 4th album, ‘2022’.
Hanterhir have been kicking around the Cornish countryside for a little over a decade. Although based in Redruth, founder Ben Harris (vocals, guitar, keyboards) took inspiration for the band’s name for Northampton’s red-light district, Semilong, translated into Cornish as Hanterhir. The rest of the band are Jason Brown (drums, percussion), Peasey (guitars and noises), Mike Hewitt (sax, keyboards, vocals), Grant Kellow (bass, vocals), Lou Pienxha (flute, vocals, violin, clarinet), and Simon Howard (guitar).
Hanterhir are currently working on the follow-up to their 2022 album, Nyns Eus Denvydth Bys Trest (There is no one to trust). Hanterhir are often referred to as psych folk, forest punk, and shoegaze.
