For any Otway/ Barrett virgins, hang on to your hats and be prepared for anything from bare-chested theremin playing to wah wah wheelie bin as the dynamic duo jump from one hit and 40 near misses to the next!
You’re guaranteed an amazing and irreverent performance by two master entertainers celebrating a half century together and rightfully revered for their total in-yer-face originality.
The contrast between Barrett’s deadpan humour and Otway’s outrageous onstage presence has to be seen to be believed!
John’s lyrical genius and Willy’s astounding musicianship (he seems to play almost every stringed instrument known to man – plus a few hybrids of his own making) are a central core of the show but no two performances are ever the same and never forgotten!
On Friday April 20 1973, their first single “Murder Man” was released on the Track label and produced by Pete Townshend.
A resounding miss, they have been at it and each other ever since.
The alternatively titled “Half A Sentry Tour”
may possibly be the last chance to catch the mismatched duo and their magnificent mix of music and mayhem!
How many antics, how much hilarity and excitement can you take!?!
“A brilliant ability to inspire” – THE GUARDIAN
“Brilliant observationally … part of me just wants to stand up and applaud” – STEVE LAMACQ
“The audience were in fits of hysteria” – SALISBURY JOURNAL
