Drawing on the colours and stripped back silhouettes of the winter, this one-day workshop will take you through the basics of painting landscapes. Learn how to create a dynamic and atmospheric painting working from sketches and your favourite photos. Please bring in some photographs of your favourite landscapes.

COURSE TUTOR: SOPHIE BERGER

Sophie Berger is a practicing fine artist with work in UK and international galleries, she is a regular teacher for the short courses at Plymouth College of Art and Kingbeare Studios as well as Exeter Phoenix. Sophie’s work is greatly affected by colour and atmosphere, both of which change due to weather and seasons, so observation of the environment and surroundings influence her work both directly as well as subconsciously.
