Welcome to an evening of diverse psychedelia featuring three great live bands, each with a unique contemporary take on the genre, ranging from English whimsy to full-on freak outs!
The Crystal Jacqueline Band present a mesmerizing and often dark blend of Gothic atmospheres, pop melodies and pastoral folk vibes set over intricate rhythms. Crystal also boasts the best voice in psyche music today.
The Telephones come all the way from Derby and capture the joyous spirit and sounds of the late sixties and early seventies with wonderful harmonies and Byrds-esque guitar parts.
Icarus Peel’s Acid Reign are an amazing power trio who create a glorious wall of sound pulsing with energy and infused with the flavours of Cream and Hendrix, but in an unmistakably original and modern style.
This evening celebrates the release of Crystal Jacqueline’s latest album, ‘Two Moon’s’ on Billywitch Records, the label which is also home to the classic long players ‘No Choir, No Cowbell’ by Icarus Peel’s Acid Reign and ‘Prosaic Turbulence’ by The Telephones.
The event is also a fundraiser for Exeter’s community radio station Phonic FM.
