Professor Wayne Szalinski ‘s inventions rarely work but when his latest contraption, a shrinking machine, zaps into action it reduces a lot more than he could have possibly imagined and accidentally shrinks his kids by mistake. Reduced to microscopic proportions the kids are unknowingly tossed out with the rubbish and must fight off attacking insects, dive-bombing bees and runaway lawnmowers to make their way home.
