This artwork represents the South Asian diaspora and the new lives many started in the UK. Remi Rana-Allen's interpretation of the wheel from the Indian flag, is combined with studio portraits of her parents from their wedding day. They both migrated to the UK in the 1960s, Remi's father a direct migrant from India and her mother from Kenya. The golden wheel refers to the cycles of life, Indian gold wedding bands and the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab.
