Told through beautifully executed rotoscoped photography, Soozandehs debut film takes a plunge into the underbelly of life in Irans capital and unveils contrasts and unbalance present within modern Iranian society.
The lives of several strong-willed women and a young musician intersect as they each attempt to work the system where sex, drugs and corruption sit alongside strict religious law and tradition and avoiding prohibitions has become an everyday sport. In a desperate search for freedom, they are each forced to break the taboos of their restrictive society.
