Marbling and Bookmaking

Learn how to marble fabric using shaving foam and make a beautiful concertina photo album.

In this creative whole day workshop, designer and bookbinder Esther Williams will take you through how to hand marble book cloth using Indian inks and – that’s right – shaving foam! You’ll create beautiful hard-back covers with ribbon ties and learn the simple and effective method of concertina paper folding – perfect for photo albums, guest books and more.

There’s no sewing for this method, which means you can craft a stunning hand printed, cloth-covered book in one day.

There will be a lunch break in the middle of the day with time to have lunch feel free to bring along a packed lunch to eat here.
