Visionary filmmaker Spike Lee tells the incredible true story of an American Hero, Ronald Stallworth (John David Washington), the first black detective on the Colorado police Department who infiltrated the local chapter of the Ku Klux Klan in the early 1970s. Teaming up with his Jewish police partner, Adam Driver, the pair work undercover to infiltrate hate and eventually becomes head of the chapter.
Lees astuteness as a filmmaker allows him to deliver a very serious subject matter with humour. Blends clips and stories from history to pack a powerful punch BlacKkKlansman serves as a reminder for the current racial divide in Trumps America.
