What makes a story – whether for a film, a book, a scene, a moment?

How do we explore hope, longing and change through a character?

In four sessions, participants will learn about story and develop their own, considering characters who represent their own lives, hopes, issues.

They’ll work together to plot a story, using improv, automatic writing, group work, camera skills and inspiration from books, films and music. As well as develop confidence in their ideas through individual, pair, and group work.

Course Tutor: Tiana Linden

Tiana is a filmmaker, writer, teacher and facilitator who loves making creative work with young people. She has delivered training for BFI Academy, Young Film Academy, and Girls Friendly Society.
