Beginner’s embroidery is back! Join Alice for an introductory session into the wonderful world of embroidery – and enjoy a tasty cocktail (or mocktail) of choice from the Mermaid.

In this 2 hour workshop you’ll be given an introduction to hand embroidery. You’ll learn how to do all the basic stitches including: Applique, Blanket stitch, Chain and Daisy, French Knot, Running and Backstitch.

No creative experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided. This includes your own wooden embroidery hoop, fabric, embroidery needle and coloured thread. You’ll take your materials home along with handouts about what you’ve learnt – and then you can put your new skills into practice!

The workshop takes place at Maker Mart on Gandy St. Fully inclusive, anyone is welcome. Limited access but arrangements can be made in advance.

Minimum age 14. Must be 18 years + for an alcoholic cocktail.
