Purely Nourishing/ Fermenting Workshop

Join this fun and relaxed workshop to learn the ancient art of fermentation and discover how these living foods can support a healthy gut, digestion, immunity and overall wellbeing. You’ll learn how to preserve seasonal produce naturally, reduce food waste and create delicious ferments packed with flavour and beneficial bacteria.

This is a hands-on, practical 3hr course where you will learn about wild fermenting using local seasonal ingredients, and get to go a bit deeper into the different techniques. You will get to try two different methods, including wet and dry fermenting and take home two delicious ferments you have made on the day. You will also learn a great skill to help you reduce food waste and enjoy delicious and nutritious food all the way through the year. There is nothing more satisfying than a shelf of homemade delights waiting to be enjoyed.

As a nutritionist, I will also discuss the numerous health benefits of this delicious food, as well as explore the Gut Microbiome and its importance to our overall health. It may be one of the most important factors in maintaining good physical and mental health.

Please bring some jars to fill with delicious ferments that you make on the day.
