Despite coming from a family of poachers and having limited resources, a group of surfers based in Dahican Beach in the southern province of Davao Oriental in the Philippines have taken it upon themselves to educate the community and safeguard the marine life in the area.

Wildscreen Festival 2024 Audience Award winner. This hugely popular feature film charts the rise of viral internet sensation, Hvaldimir the Beluga Whale, who was discovered off the coast of Norway with a strap, seemingly built to house a GoPro camera, attached to his back.
Co-directed by cetacean communication expert, Fabrice Schnoller, #Hvaldimir, Conversation with a Spy Whale, attempts to uncover this extraordinary whale’s origins, and whether he may previously have been working as a Russian spy….
