Le Choc Du Futur

Dir. Marc Colin
2019 | 84 mins | France
French with English subtitles

SHOWING TIMES:

In the Paris of 1978, old formulas do not charm listeners anymore and new music must arise. In a male-dominated industry, Ana uses her electronic gadgets to make herself heard, creating a new sound that will mark the decades to come: the music of the future. In a time of Jean-Michel Jarre, we often forget the importance that women had in creating a futuristic form of music.

The Shock of the Future is the first film by Marc Collin, French musician, composer and producer. The title is also a nod to a book by Alvin Toffler, ‘American sociologist and Futurologist’.
