After finally clawing his career out of the toilet and towards the stars, Sean McLoughlin should be at his happiest, right? Unfortunately this long-awaited improvement in career has coincided with an astonishing collapse in his personal life (floods, divorce, cats etc). Sean has beaten the system and yet finds himself at the mercy of it. From these two conflicting circumstances a question has emerged: Can a man rise AND fall at the same time?
The bastards may be pulling him apart but Sean McLoughlin presents his sharpest and most hilarious stand-up show yet. Hold onto your hats, this one could be spectacular.
Following his hit debut, Backbone (named one of the top 5 free shows of 2013 Fringe by The List), Seans second Fringe show I Will Prevail was met with tremendous underground success. Playing to packed houses and gaining critical acclaim, the Fringe run culminated in him being nominated by fellow comedians for the ‘Best Performer’ Barry Award, and the show has since been performed throughout London and across the UK. As well as performing in Scandinavia, this year Sean is appearing at the prestigious Cat Laughs Comedy Festival in Kilkenny and is profiled as ‘One To Watch’ in Time Out.
Another calamitous year has led to another hour of blisteringly funny stand-up from Sean, fresh from supporting Katherine Ryan and Doc Brown on their national tours, and making a breakthrough appearance on Russell Howard’s Stand-Up Central.
‘The best comedian you haven’t heard of yet’
