An innovative season of film events, documentaries, shorts and artists films to test ethical and physical boundaries and reveal astonishing stories of achievement.
2015, USA, 54mins, dir. Poppy Stockell
Championing the under-represented and independent, Studio 74 celebrates the Rugby World Cup 2015 with a powerful insight into rugby as more than just a sport.
Thought you knew rugby? Scrum will make you think again. Cross the line of sports and sexuality with a documentary that throws you into the sweaty, gruelling world of international gay rugby, where scoring acceptance and belonging is as important as scoring tries.
We’ll be giving away free T-shirts celebrating the Rugby World Cup in Exeter to all ticket holders on the night.
Thanks goes to Phonic FM for supplying the shirts.
Before the feature, enjoy these inspiring short films developed for the Rugby World Cup by local artists commissioned by Fabians Film with support from The Met Office. The films explore themes of culture, identity, the environment and sport and each is inspired by one of the five nations taking part in World Cup events in Exeter.
