Savages follows Kéria, a young girl living at the edge of a tropical rainforest in Borneo who is given a baby orangutan, Oshi, rescued from the palm oil plantation, to protect. Her young cousin, Selaï, comes to live with her, and together they must work together to fight the destruction of their ancestral forest, and indigenous identity, under threat from over logging and palm oil plantation.
