Rhia’s favourite thing ever was hanging out with Grandma at the wild Jurassic Coast – playing games on the beach, finding funny creatures, and telling stories in her magical treehouse. So it all feels really weird now that Grandma’s gone.
But as Rhia prepares for Diwali, she discovers a mysterious riddle in a dusty case, setting Rhia and her friends off on a thrilling adventure to find something that’s been missing for a (very) long time…
Join us for a hilarious, holiday treat!
Featuring vibrant original music, ancient Indian tales, and Quirk’s trademark sense of the ridiculous. A heartwarming show for all ages, celebrating friendship, nature, and the place we call home.
“Quirk Theatre know perfectly how to create that magical blend of unmissable fun, laughter and audience participation”
EXPRESS & ECHO
Quirk Theatre is a South West-based theatre company known for their generous, innovative approach to live theatre. Quirk shows are often a child’s first experience of live theatre, and previous productions have wowed audiences with their loveable characters, captivating puppetry, original music, and inventive design. Quirk Theatre deliver a magical experience for all, and after far too long away, we are delighted to welcome them back to do what they do best.
Here at Exeter Phoenix, we believe that everyone deserves to access and enjoy the arts. For this reason, we are launching a Pay-It-Forward ticket system, which gives those purchasing tickets the option to donate an amount of their choosing to fund and/or subsidise a ticket for someone in our community who would otherwise be restricted from participating, due to financial and socio-economic barriers.
This year, we are offering our audiences the opportunity to donate to Refugee Support Devon, for our Family Winter Show ‘Rhia and The Tree of Lights’ by the incredible Quirk Theatre. For many years, Quirk has entertained families and inspired children, making them think, wonder, and giggle uncontrollably.
If you are in a position to help families at Refugee Support Devon access the joyful, often life-changing experiences which the Performing Arts can offer, please consider donating alongside your ticket purchase. With your generous support, many more will be able to enjoy this magical festive treat. 100% of proceeds will go directly to Refugee Support Devon to help up with our aim to provide access to the arts for Refugee families. If you decide you can pay something forward today or at another time, thank you so very much.
