In celebration of Salaam Salaam Theatre’s upcoming performance, I’m Muslamic Don’t Panic! We invite you to join us for a fun, joyful dance workshop exploring Persian dance, contemporary dance and creating choreography to tell your own story.

Led by professional dancer & choreographer, Maria Tarokh, the workshop takes a dynamic and expressive approach to movement, blending technique with improvisation and dance theatre exercises. You will learn Persian dance technique & social dance. Improvisation exercises will lead you into creating autobiographical phrases.

The workshop will include a range of exercises and phrases that will see movers gliding, shifting, turning, twisting. There will be high energy moments alongside gentle movement and breathwork. Maria’s approach welcomes positive challenges whilst nurturing the comfort zones of your own movement.

Persian moves and grooves encourages movers to experience the joy and depth of Persian dance and culture. Set to an eclectic, feel-good soundtrack that blends global beats and infectious grooves, this workshop promises high energy, creative expression, and good vibes only. Whether you’re a confident mover or just curious to try something new, this is your chance to move, connect, and celebrate culture through dance.

This is an open level class, beginners welcome.
