Imaginative young people aged 7 to 12 are invited to create a stage play with award winning PaddleBoat Theatre Company during the Easter holidays.

The inventive Exeter-based company, which is known for its distinctive and playful approach to theatre, will guide youngsters through a fun filled three days of storytelling, singing, acting and devising.

‘Play in 3 days’ invites children to step into the world of theatre and music, collaborating with professional artists and fellow young creatives to devise an original performance of drama and song, culminating in a show on the professional stage at Exeter Phoenix.

The theme will be – The History of Silly Sayings! Join us as we explore who first “let the cat out of the bag”, who had the original “seal of approval” and which actor was the first to “break a leg”.
On the final day, friends and family will be welcomed to the Exeter Phoenix to watch the children perform their play.

The week is for children aged 7-12 years old on course start date – no previous theatre experience required.

Rehearsals and the performance will take place in the Exeter Phoenix. PaddleBoat will be at the Exeter Phoenix entrance to meet and greet children and parents/guardians. By purchasing a place on this theatre week you agree that your child(ren) must be signed in when they are dropped off and signed out when they are picked up by a nominated adult.

Refunds will not be given unless the booked space is filled by another customer.

Fri 17 Apr: 10am – 2.30pm with a performance at 2pm in Exeter Phoenix’s Auditorium
