Featuring dancers from Chhaya Youth, Exeter College and Swindon Dance, this showcase is free to attend and exclusively for under 25s.
Come and experience some of the most exciting young dance talent in the area, as we throw the spotlight on the next generation. Featuring four dynamic young performance groups, this event will celebrate fresh ideas and bold choreography.
This showcase is created exclusively by and for audiences under 25, making it a safe space to connect and be inspired. Whether you’re a dancer yourself, love live performance, or just fancy trying something different for a free thing to do with friends, this is your chance to witness exciting new talent, feel the buzz of the crowd, and experience dance that speaks directly to young audiences.
Delivered as part of our IRL programme, this event is exclusively for under 25s. Tickets are available for free or on a pay what you can basis. All proceeds will be split between our performers.
Chhaya Youth: Faultless
The illusion of a perfect world unravels when its occupants start to think for themselves.
Glitching in and out of their set routine, the worlds inhabitants realise they are not alone in feeling out of place, uncovering the false perfection of their reality and finding freedom in the wild and grotesque chaos that follows.
Choreographed by Chhaya Youth Dancers and Millie Parker.
Swindon Dance: Exeter Contemporary Programme
Swindon Dance CAT will be performing a piece created in collaboration with Anna Watkins. The piece is in response to a motivational speech by Denzel Washington.
Performers: Ethan, Keby, Emily B, Lily E, Evelynne, Marnie, Zoe, Leah, Bethany.
Exeter College: Once More with Feeling
A work in response to the phrase ‘Once Again with Feeling’. Approximately 8 – 10 minutes.
