Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added. The technique dates back to the 5th century BC when it was used by Ancient Greek artists.
Learn how to set up your own encaustic studio and safe studio practice, and pick up techniques and methods including incising, embedding, collage, and working with pigments.
This workshop includes all materials including R and F pigments and encaustic colours and is suitable for complete beginners and artists wishing to learn a new medium. Further details can be found on the website www.bluebirdsatdawn.com
