Ever fancied the idea of embroidering your own design onto clothing? In this brand new workshop Alice from SimplyWishes will talk you through the different fabrics typical clothing is made out of and advise on how best to tackle them. Denim, Cotton, Jersey with made examples from each for you to see up close and of course the back!

This is a next step workshop, ideal if you’ve already attended our Beginners Embroidery Workshop and fancy using those learnt stitches to apply to a different base fabric.

You will design your own pattern, apply with water erasable pens or fabric and then start stitching! Depending on how detailed your design is you may not finish in the 2 hour workshop however you will leave with the knowledge on how to finish at home and ample of thread and needles will be included. For an example one leg hem of the denim shorts took Alice about 2.5hrs from design to completing, some fabrics you have to stitch slowly to keep neat.

£30 per person for a 2 hr workshop & Cocktail from The Mermaid. You will take away with you your practise materials, needles, Thread to carry on at home and handouts.

Please note this workshops isn’t for complete beginners to embroidery. If you are a beginner please book onto the beginners workshop first, we will have more dates for this workshop in the new year too.

Please note that we do need a minimum of 2 people booked on for the workshop to run. If you book onto a workshop and by 3 days before there aren’t enough people booked on you will be contacted and offered a voucher to re book onto another date or time.
