We love having a chat and putting our worlds to right over a craft project, cup of tea and biscuits in hand!
Bargello is a needlepoint tapestry method that dates back hundreds of years, with a technique that uses straight stitches to create striking, geometric patterns. The simple, methodical technique is extremely soothing and can be used to create everything from stunning cushions covers to decorating t-shirts and plant pot covers! Come and get to know us whilst learning how to create a bookmark to take home with you.
Open to all and Suitable for all ages – includes child friendly cross stitch crafts.
About Exeter Girl
Exeter Girl was born from the need for a community dedicated to inspire, empower and bring back a sense of confidence to women living in and around the Exeter area whilst forming meaningful connections and lasting friendships.
Beth from Exeter Girl – Beth loves getting out and about, meeting new people and creating connections through her work with Exeter Girl. She is an avid cross stitcher and (extremely!) beginner crocheter and can often be found curled up with crafts and a coffee.
Alice Blackwell – Alice is an experienced crafter, ask her about how many projects she currently has on the go! She has a passion for sharing her skills and has partnered with Exeter Girl, running embroidery classes and taking over the craft table at our Friendship Fiesta!
This event is part of Bloom Festival
Bloom Festival is a day of free activities to promote good mental health and wellbeing. Bloom is here to encourage and enable discussion, raise awareness of local support services and to utilise creativity as a tool for self-expression.
