Chris and Paul warmly invite you to an interactive talk on ‘Connecting with the Soul through the Body & Movement’. For us, honouring and caring for the body is inseparable from any personal growth/self inquiry/spirituality and indeed can be a means to wholeness/oneness/sacredness. We will talk about this and invite you to participate as much or as little as you want to.
We will also introduce ‘Yopo’ practice (this is intuitive movement inspired by a fusion of Paul’s Hatha Yoga teaching and Chris’s Kenpo Karate teaching, all slowed down and non-contact with the breath; it often looks more like Qi Gong or Tai Chi). This would firstly be in the Phoenix, with the option of then splitting into two groups – one staying in the Phoenix, the other going outside into Rougemont (or Northernhay) Gardens to practice on the earth, in more of a natural environment. Then back to the Phoenix for a cuppa, any feedback you’d like to give us and an opportunity to hear about what Soul Warriors has coming up.
Soul Warriors is a Devon-based venture that aims to inspire people to connect with the power, strength and resilience of living more from heart and soul. We do this through interactive talks and discussions, ‘power place pilgrimages’ on Dartmoor, ‘Standing Up for Love’ and related training courses, men’s gatherings and wellbeing wild camps. The session will be delivered by Chris Pover and Paul Beard – founders of Soul Warriors, authenticity facilitators and nature/wellbeing connection coaches.
This event is part of Bloom Festival
