Chantal Powell – Gestation

Chantal Powell’s work explores the symbolic language of the unconscious through the lenses of Jungian theory, ancient mythology, and alchemical literature. Employing a variety of materials, including ceramics, glass, and textiles, she bridges psychological processes with archetypal imagery, illuminating the transformative potential of the human psyche.

Her piece at Gallery 333 intuitively integrates archetypal symbols from alchemy, giving visual expression to the concept of individuation—a fluctuating journey of change and transformation that moves toward integration and wholeness. The installation invites viewers to reflect on their own transformative processes through the interplay of symbols.

Dr. Chantal Powell (b. 1980, UK) is a visual artist and educator based in Charmouth, West Dorset. She has exhibited at The Lightbox Museum (Woking), Arusha Gallery (London & Edinburgh), La Boulangerie (Paris), and the Orange County Museum of Art (California), among others. She is the founder of Hogchester Arts residency and hosts The Red Book Club, an online Jungian bookclub & speaker program. She also lectures on archetypal symbolism and psychological alchemy at Jung Academy US.
