My Quirky Quest for a Cure

Cancer Dancer – My Quirky Quest for a Cure is a funny, tender and uplifting multi-media one-woman show by Jackie Juno. A journey of self-discovery, reptilian initiation and a crash course in quantum physics to discover the true meaning of healing, and what is really important in life.

Jackie explores, with sensitivity and hilarity in equal measure, her own experience with cancer.
Using spoken word, music, dance, film, visuals and a lot of carrots, the show combines so many of Jackie’s talents to bring you an unforgettable experience.

Always one to avoid doctors and hospitals, when Jackie’s journey with cancer began she opted for the natural ways – carrot juice, crystal healing, infra-red saunas and gong baths. She met several other people who had cured themselves of cancer using alternative methods.

But Jackie’s cancer was particularly aggressive and after toiling on her rebounder and grappling with colonic hydrotherapy, she was given just months to live. Would she make it in time? Would she have to choose the chemotherapy path? Would she have to learn the names of all 13 chemo drugs and put them in a song?

Writing this show during cancer treatment helped Jackie to carry on living and gave her hope and meaning – after all, who else could do her show but her?

Join Jackie on her roller-coaster ride of hilarity, despair, courage and gratitude.

This is Jackie Juno at her finest hour!
