The Breakwater Premiere will be a motivating evening with committed ocean supporters raising awareness on the extremely topical crisis of marine litter. The short environmental documentary, Breakwater, will explore the importance of local action in reducing marine litter in the long-term at a national scale. Interactive speeches and discussions will follow, made by leading sustainable businesses and charities, including Finisterre, Surfers Against Sewage and Plastic Free Exeter. Come along to celebrate Devon’s local efforts in ocean conservation!
Modern society has acknowledged the global issue of marine litter, our community action has immensely increased and society’s relationship with the ocean is strengthening. As shown through stories from school students, a Professor and a Surfers Against Sewage representative, it is time that we celebrate our local efforts. The ocean’s future is looking optimistic, so we must keep the pressure up – be a part of the Breakwater Movement.
