Nick Davies

nick-tippex From Tippex Forms (i-iv), 2014, Correction fluid, petri dishes, plastic bottles Often working on the boundaries between art, design, economics, and ecology, Nick’s practice explores cultural and social values through a variety of inter-disciplinary, collaborative, performative, and socially engaged methods. He is founder of Duplicate Editions, an artist’s limited edition print project, and is Curator/Publisher of Loophole Supplements, an alternative, publication platform, primarily for artists within Wales and the South West, with an emphasis on working within a place based practice. Nick moved to Exeter in 2012 having completed a BA in Contemporary Art Practice at the University of Leeds in 2008. He first exhibited in our Gallery333 space and has gone on to deliver workshops, create exhibition publications, and currently has a studio residency in the building. In 2014 he was awarded an Arts Council England grant to develop a solo exhibition and artist’s bookwork, which was staged in the Phoenix Gallery. Nick also runs a Risograph press making collaborative artists publications and an artists limited edition print project.
