The Exeter Phoenix Camera Group is a monthly social meet-up for anyone keen on photography who has some experience, or may have been on the beginners course and would like to keep in contact with like minded enthusiasts.

Freefall is a youth arts group for young people aged between 13-16 years run by Exeter Phoenix. The group aims to create a space to socialize, share ideas and opinions and develop creative projects together. 

DOCLAB returns with its monthly Development Lab, offering a safe space to talk about, workshop and develop your documentary film projects. The labs will offer peer and professional support and feedback to help filmmakers hone their documentary film skills.

Try the fun and slightly addictive craft of macrame in this beginner-friendly workshop. Over two hours you’ll learn the process of macrame, and make a pretty macrame feather wall hanging. You’ll be using soft recycled cotton cord, and there will be a great range of colours to choose from.

Work with recycled pulp to make sheets of handmade paper. There will be the opportunity to personalise your sheets of paper through the addition of threads, pressed petals, leaves and seeds.

In this workshop we will be working with found plant material and recycled pulp to mould around natural and manmade items to make vessels.

In this course we will be taking a close look at the plants we use in our everyday lives. We will follow the seasons creating a personal collection of illustrations documenting the herbs vegetables and flowers that have particular significance to us.

This course explores the fundamental elements of creating still life drawings. Develop personal narratives through the composition of objects, work with form, tone, colour and texture to create a collection of sketches and drawings for your portfolio

During this 2 hour workshop you will get to play with clay and make a tea light holder in the shape of a house. You’ll be guided through the process with our lovely host Jenny, who will provide all the materials needed.

In her latest invitation to join Creative Roaming artist Erika Cann invites you to join her in Dawlish Warren to explore and collect objects and observations of interest to our art practices. Whether your work is directly inspired by nature or not, there will be a variety of points of interest in this landscape, which is interspersed with colour, form, and texture.
